Julie Parisien Jr Race

Named for Julie who started skiing at LostValley at the age of two. Julie has been know to make an occasional appearance to the program. as well as a visits by other well know Skiers and coaches and racers. This program is headed up by Our Director of ski racing Jodd Bowles with over 22 years experience coaching and running events he picks the best coaches avable to set up a fun Skiing experience two hours night two nights a week.
Julie skied for four years on the World Cup circuit, winning three titles. Giant slalom at Waterville Valley, New Hampshire in March 1991; in slalom at Sundsvall, Sweden in March 1992; and in slalom at Park City, Utah in November 1992. She had one other World Cup podium finish and 15 top 10s in her career. At the 1993 World Championships, Julie won a silver in slalom. She narrowly missed an Olympic medal, placing fourth in slalom and fifth in giant slalom at Albertville in 1992. After her retirement from the World Cup circuit, Parisien skied for 10 years on the pro tour and Returned to the US Olympic team finishing 13 in Giant slalom in Japain and finished the year No. 1 in the Fdration Internationale de Ski (FIS) slalom rankings at the age of 20.
Bump Heldman Started Skiing at LostValley and racing The Maine ski Challenge at age 3 and JR Racing by 4 He Attended Gould Academy was a member of the US Development Team for two years he Graduated from Bates College in 2012 Skiing for their NCAA team for all four years and now is a assistant coach of Bates Alpine ski team.
